The Fernando Rodney Experience has ended in Oakland. DFA'd. Dude can still throw gas but can't hit a barn. Might be time to finally hang up the cleats.

There was just a Superman sighting at Oracle Park. You might know him better as Pillark Kevint.

Best defensive play of the year so far, IMO.

These Reds are the peskiest last-place team you'll ever see. And probably not last place for long if they keep playing like this.

Was just about to post this...unreal catch. You can often tell if an outfielder has a chance watching a game on TV based on the flight of the ball and the location of the outfielders. When I watched that at no point did I think anyone had a chance at catching it until he caught it...just an amazing catch.

Nah, defensive play of the year belongs to Jackie Bradley.

              Pillar can have 2nd.

Perhaps that can be argued when it comes to making the actual catch (and I know which one you're talking about), but Pillar's involves doubling up another runner.

                Both are tremendous plays.

Jays died like 2 hours ago. Padres realized it in the 9th.

Sad part, Luke Maile (backup catcher) pitched the best today. A scoreless inning and had 2ks. First time in Jays history a position player did that.

Soroka through 3 with 23 pitches. Is that allowed in today's game?

Soroka pinch hit for in the 7th after 80 pitches and a 1 run lead. Makes sense.

                            1) Why can't we see the angle that reversed the call? They show 2 or 3 different angles on TV and none show any clear evidence the runner was safe.

                            2) Why would you be in the shift in that situation. Snitker just gave the game away the last couple of innings with dumb decisions. Why is he still manager?

And then our bullpen does Braves bullpen things.

You all can blame the bullpen all you want right now, but this loss isn't on Winkler. It's on Snitker. The inning would have been over with no runs on the board if he doesn't employ such a dumb shift with runners on the corners. Winkler made good enough pitches to get out of that inning unscathed and Snither screwed him over.
