Yesterday the Twins broke the franchise record for HRs before the All-Star break with a month to spare.

They have also had at least 10 hits in HALF their games.

Good to know I've still got it...

Comment I made before recent homestand:

Schwarber hit .238 last year and .211 the year before that. He can't hit lefties, he's a bad defender, he has no speed, and he can only play LF. One of the least versatile players in baseball even if he were hitting .300 with power.

Theo Epstein loves him more than life itself. I just don't get it...enough about his re-made body. Enough about how he hit that homer on top of the signage that one time. The guy isn't worth a roster spot on this team.

Jesse Rogers' ESPN article after homestand:

Outfielder Kyle Schwarber has been on fire of late while batting leadoff for the Cubs, prompting manager Joe Maddon to remark that this is "as good as I've seen him -- ever."

I have never seen anything more ridiculous with umpiring than the ejections I just watched on the Braves-Pirates game.

Donaldson got hit on the jersey and whined about it. That whole thing is on him. It didn't even hit his body. Relax.

Whined about it? He didn't say a thing to Musgrove...he may have been annoyed at being hit, but I don't even think he looked out at the pitcher. It was Musgrove that started chirping. Regardless, no one should have been ejected...it was ridiculous.

Cmon man. I’m a big Donaldson fan, he started staring as Musgrove immediately.

For getting hit on the jersey.

I just went and watched it again...he glanced at Musgrave, but he flipped the bat and was looking at the Braves dugout. He never once "stared" at Musgrave until Musgrave started yelling at him.

Why is Gausman still in the rotation?

I think this is it...he'll be out and Newcomb or Keuchel will be in.

Think it's safe to say Bote is in Marquez' head at this point?

Here come the Rox....walk, 2 run bomb by Blackmon. Glad we missed him last week.

Base hit, Arenado 2 run homer. Good show, Yu.

Crazy to think the Cubs could've signed NEITHER Darvish nor Arrieta and quite likely would have the same record over the past two years...

...honestly, likely a better record had they signed Jake.

I still don't know why they were so possessed with the idea of signing Darvish...it was like watching the previous FO sign Soriano...seemed inevitable and deflating.

I say put him in the pen come the presumptive postseason...and tell him to just gas it
                              Australian Rules Football...just sayin'
