Gleyber Torres has 13 home runs vs Baltimore. He needs 2 more home runs against the Orioles to set the all-time record for home runs against one opponent in a season.

The current record is Lou Gehrig's 14 against the Indians in 1936.

Kind of an odd start to this one for Q. Strikes out the first 2 batters of the game looking, then hits 2 in a row. Now, after an Ian Happ error on a room service pop up, Q manages to hit Corey Dickerson on both hands while Dickerson swung at the pitch. Dickerson had to be removed from the game because his hands took such a beating there.

Len and JD keep talking about how small Citizens Bank Park looks.

Thanks Quintana for causing yet another Phillies injury.

Scary moment just now in Jays-Rangers game.

Rangers CF Deshields ran backwards to catch a fly ball(so he was facing home plate the whole time). He caught it, but his momentum led to him falling backwards and he went back of the head first into the wall. He stayed down for about a minute. Got back up on his own power.

Might be bad timing to ask, but let's say it was 1 out, what happens? Because bases were loaded. If he caught it and then had an injury, would runners just all continue running until the LF or RF came and got the ball? Does play stop? Do runners just get to advance 2 bases?

Play wouldn't stop and the runners could continue.

I wonder if something like that happened before.

Just seems weird if the OF is down and out, barely moving on the ground, and runners just continue running like normal. It's not like the OF just rolled his ankle or something.

I know in other sports if something happens, they usually stop play if it looks severe.

A nice 'we want Charlie' chant in Philly leads to a go-ahead HR by Realmuto.

I take back all the comments I made about the Cubs not needing Nick Castellanos, because I was clearly very very wrong.

I'm sick of hearing about Stanton and Frazier. Let's Tauch about it.

Then I would flop all the time in the outfield if there was some ball past me that I knew would be a for sure triple. That’s why outfielders should be backing each other up, or else things like that can happen.

Anyway, Scooter Gennett was doing it on David Dahl’s injury. The difference is he actually caught the ball, but if he hadn’t then it would’ve been an inside-the-park home run.

This wasnt the case of it being a triple. He caught the ball and rammed head first into the wall.

I would've thought if a rule existed, it'd be to count it as a ground rule double or something. Or runners just advance 2 bases from wherever they are at the moment the guy went down. Like I said, it's a difference between going head first into the wall and rolling your ankle.

I don't think he was trying to draw a comparison to whatever happened tonight but to just bring up the reason for play not being stopped in general.

Flopping could happen easily if the situation warranted it and unlike hockey, the umpires are nowhere near close enough to be able to truly determine if it's warranted or not.

Wow we might have a new worst strike call of the year. That strike 3 on Kemp wasn't remotely close
