    The Indians

I'm starting to think the Indians may actually have a little bit of a shot at the playoffs this year. Last year they were 2 games under .500, and in reality, should have been much much better if it wasn't for the insanely high number of blown saves (damn you Jose Jimenez). However, the pitching staff has improved, and if the offense stays on par with last year's team, I think they could win the AL Central (as long as they don't face Radke and Santana everytime they face the Twins).

    Lineup
C - Victor Martinez (Josh Bard, Tim Laker)
1B - Ben Broussard (Casey Blake, Travis Hafner)
2B - Ronnie Belliard (Jose Hernandez, Brandon Phillips)
3B - Aaron Boone (Jose Hernandez, Casey Blake)
SS - Jhonny Peralta (Jose Hernandez, Brandon Phillips)
LF - Coco Crisp (Jose Hernandez, Ryan Ludwick)
CF - Grady Sizemore (Coco Crisp, Frankli Gutierrez)
RF - Casey Blake (Ryan Ludwick, Jose Hernandez)
DH - Travis Hafner (Ryan Ludwick)

SP - CC Sabathia, Kevin Millwood, Jake Westbrook, Cliff Lee, Scott Elarton
RP - Jason Davis, Scott Sauerbeck, David Riske, Matt Miller, Bobby Howry, Arthur Rhodes, Kaz Tadano
    CL - Bob Wickman

Jose Jiminez, I guess it just wasn't Coors Field then.

        Re: The Indians

I think the Indians have a great shot especially since the Twins and ChiSox have such terrible records outside the AL Central. It's all going to hinge on which of the 3 teams have a better record against teams outside the Central.

It will be really close. Most of the time, the Twins get in the playoffs because they run the AL Central, but the Indians and Tigers SHOULD be better next year.

Move Coco Crisp to CF Casey Blake to LF and insert Juan Gonzalez in RF and you've got the Indians lineup. Grady Sizemore is expected to start the year at AAA to get more "seasoning". Tim Laker is gone (signed by Devil Rays) so that means Josh Bard will be the backup Catcher this season. Kaz Tadano and either Matt Miller or Scott Sauerbeck will likely start the year in the minors as well.

If Kevin Millwood can overcome his arm troubles from last season that will be a huge boost for the tribe. The bullpen is also a lot stronger than the one they had last season, if Bob Wickman had been healthy all season the Indians may have been able to win their division. I think this years Indians have a chance to return to the playoffs.

I agree but they are banking on Sauerbeck coming on strong this year. The only thing I want to see though is Sizemore in center, he got alot of big league exp. last year for a first run through(but i am aware that they are planning to send him to AAA if they sign Gonzalez). I would like to see the outfield be Gonzalez(if healthy) Crisp, and Sizemore, I am just not sold on Blake defensively out there. We need his bat somewhere but where. I don't know I guess it is better to have a surpluss then not enough.
