I'm much more on board with that. and if having a DH is a good thing, why stop at 1, having 3 or 4 DH's in the lineup should be 3 or 4 times as great.
And along with a designated hitter, why not a designated fielder? And designated runner?

Funny enough, my baseball team used to have a "designated runner" and "designated fielder" in practice.

The coach would hit balls to the field, and whoever wasn't one of the 8 fielders would take turns running from home plate to 1B.

And even fielders we used to do that too. Sometimes just have 4OF because our team had too many players and people needed to practice catching fly balls and calling/waiving off other fielders.

Oakland tried a designated runner briefly for one hot minute back in the 70's right after the designated hitter was birthed. I cant say the designated runner was a complete failure though. Herb Washington was the A's DR back in '74, played in 92 games, no plate appearances, no time on defence, and played in the World Series, for the World Champions. I'm considering just calling the DH a H, start referring to pitchers as designated pitchers

Pretty cool seeing an angle that I only see in videogames.

That's one of the weirdest stat lines in sports history.

          105 career games played
          31 stolen bases
          0 plate appearances

His percentage of being thrown out trying to steal was terrible. By all accounts, he was one of the worst pinch runners of all time.

Finally get some baseball to watch again!

Jays intrasquad game on TV tomorrow.

Feels longer than 4 months without baseball since Jays hadn't begun airing ST games on TV outside of just showing the opposing teams feed.

Not sure how broadcasting will be for the game, but assuming it's regular commentators, it will be first actual Jays broadcast in 10 months!

Jordan Hicks opts out of 2020 season

Not surprising considering he is a type 1 diabetic as well as coming off TJS which was going to have him starting season on IL.

Get healthy and come back strong for 2021 season

                  Baseballs back!

It's only a 5 inning intrasquad game, but I'll take it. Although I'd rather a 5 inning intrasquad game over some ST game where I don't know or care about anyone on the opposition.

                      Bo Bichette and Randall Grichuk.

For intrasquad games they have 2 captains who pick teams schoolyard style.

Intrasquad rules would be Manfreds dream.

Jays done 4 innings of intrasquad action in about an hour!

2.5 hour games on a regular basis seems like a dream.

I know its meaningless games, but funny seeing a 6 inning, 6 pitcher, no hitter thrown.
