    Mariners sign Aaron Sele

I think it's a good pickup for the M's. We really needed to pick up some pitching help in the offseason and Sele should help the rotation. He had a good record at 9-4 last year but a high ERA(5.05). I think the return to Seattle will be good for both him and the team.

I personally think the guy should just retire, because he's way past serviceable and has trouble going 6 innings.

OH MY GOD! YES!! YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!! !!

Misfit, apparently you don't know how much M's fans secretly love Aaron Sele. He gets a bad rap. He's been beating around the bush of being a great pitcher for a while now. One of these days it's all going to fall in place and he's going to be great, Even if it's just for a few more years. I think he'd be great on the M's, especially since fans like him. I've always had faith in the guy, and now that he's an M again I'm psyched. First signing on Villone for two (and Villone, like Sele, struggled in the beginning of his career and is now pitching pretty damn well) and now this. I look at Sele like a backup, and this is a definite sign to me that the M's are finally at least considering trading away Moyer. Am I the only one that wasn't ever very fond of the guy? In any case, this news made my day. GREAT signing for the M's.

            Non-guaranteed contract. Why not?

Sele is pretty good in Safeco.

He was a big part of that 114 win team a few years ago.
