I did this off the top of my head. So some players may be gone.
      *Luis Rivas will play 2nd
*Michael Cuddyer will play 3rd (unless Eric Munson wins the job out of spring training, Cuddyer would then play 2B)
*Lew Ford will DH most of the time, alternating in LF with Shannon Stewart
*Jacque Jones will start in RF
*Corey Koskie will play 3B...for Toronto
*Joe Mauer is the catcher (honestly, if you're a Twins fan I don't know how you can miss it)
*Nick Punto has the inside track to win the SS job (Juan Castro, Jason Bartlett, and Augie Ojeda will also compete)
*Lecroy, most likely, will be a backup 1B/DH (shouldn't catch too much this year)
      *It's Joe Mays
      --------------------------------------------------------------------------
      LF/DH - Shannon Stewart
      DH/LF - Lew Ford
      C - Joe Mauer
      1B - Justin Morneau

      3B/1B - Eric Munson
      1B/C - Matthew Lecroy
      INF - Juan Castro
OF - Michael Restovich/Armando Rios (Rios was recently signed to a minor league contract but Restovich is out of options so he'll make the team unless the Twins trade him)

SP - Brad Radke (Gardy has announced he will start opening day)
      SP - Johan Santana

      CP - Joe Nathan

      MR - Grant Balfour
LR - Terry Mullholland/Ryan Rowland-Smith (Rule 5 draft pick - returned to Seattle if he doesn't make the 25 man roster)

I like it so far. I will be ecstatic with a Magglio Ordonez signing. I actually like this year's team and am more optomistic this year than I was last year.
The Cubs are doomed...the Cubs should let someone else get Magglio and Burnitz...I mean, why bother.

I was looking at the FA list at MLB.COM and i'm surprised that no one has picked up Pedro Astacio. I know JP wanted to get him a couple yrs ago and I think he'd be a good arm to have in the pen or as a starter....Oh well.
The Mariners were looking at him, but he doesn't want a minor league contract. He wants 2 mil a year.

No see Randy Winn should hit 2nd, he's had a couple of years to learn to hit behind Ichiro, and he's figuring it out. He's hit right around .300 the last two years, .295, .286, and should break out this year. With Ichiro on first, yes you get a big hole on the right side of the infield, but you have to be patient at the dish and let Ichiro run if he wants, Winn was great at getting deep in counts and giving Ichiro chances, that Bob Melvin never used, to run. Reed will be a great 2 hitter, but not yet, I'd hit him 9th, move Olivo and Resse up and have a leadoff caliber hitter at the bottom of the order to possiblly set the table for Ichiro.

With Winn, Reed and Ichiro in the outfield, If this is what they choose to do, the young pitchers will find the comfort that spacious Safeco allows a crafty pitcher to have. These three guys can really rundown flyballs and should make life much eaiser for Meche, Maddy, and the other young guns.

It should be a great year in the AL west
