    Top 10 Most Improved Teams

    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/column...son&id=1976844

I think Stark hit everything on the money. IMO all of these teams except the D-Backs have a legit shot at the post-season.

I'm not sure about the Reds having a legit shot at the post-season, they still have to compete with the Cardinals and Astros in the Central and the Marlins and Mets will likely battle it out for the Wild Card.

I think if Arizona keeps Javier Vazquez they will have a good shot at the post-season, they have a better a starting rotation than they started with last season, and if they stay healthy they should at least be able to contend with the Giants.

I can only think of three starters on the D-Backs, they've probably got the fourth or third best rotation in the NL West on paper. Dodgers IMO have the best rotation and a split goes to either the Giants or Padres. If you look a the D-Backs lineup, barring any injury that can be a very dangerous lineup, Glaus, Green, and Gonzalez, but two of them are coming off injuries and the other is just on a downhill slide of his career (or so it seems). Should be interesting.

            I disagree with this list.

For me the list should be(TOP 9):

            9. Angels
            8. Braves
            7. Reds
            6. Dbacks
            5. Giants
            4. Red Sox
            3. Mariners
            2. Yankees
            1. Mets

I'd put the Dodgers and A's somewhere in the top 5

There is no way you can take the Marlins off of that list. Delgado is a huge addition to our team. We haven't had lefty power since Cliff Floyd left. Last year the Marlins had a total of around 20 lefty homers while the second worst, the Padres, had around 80. We can now move Lo Duca from the 3rd to the 6th spot. Lowell is primarily a fastball hitter and Cabrera has some problems with breaking balls, so whoever gets that 3rd spot will get to have a much easier time swinging the ball. In my mind I thought we went from a year similar to last year (competing for a playoff spot and probably coming up short) to a year similar to 2003 (should get a wildcard at worst and have a very realistic chance to compete for a championship). If Beckett and Burnett stay healthy, this team could very easily be the best in the National League.

I am not just saying this because I am a Reds fan but they deffinately have a legit shot at the playoffs. Every team in the central has question marks and they are the only team in the division that for sure improved their ball club. The Astros lost Beltran and are very old. The Cardinals got Mulder but lost Renteria and some solid pitchers. The Cubs lost Sosa and Alou. I think the division is a toss up at this point.
