If the fog was heavy in Toronto...

Does the fog actually roll into the SkyDome?

That would be pretty weird to see... half of it is a dome, yet the place is still foggy.

    Does that actually happen?

Sorry... just a weird question that popped into my head.

Nope but that doesn't mean there hasn't been poor visibility in Skydome. I distinctly remember an interleague series against the Braves and one Blue Jay (I think Delgado) hit a HR deep into centerfield. Well they used to have a lot of pyrotechnics and fireworks. Once it went off the whole stadium was shrouded in smoke for a good inning and the Dome was open on that day!

Since then they've really downgraded the amount of pyrotechnics/fireworks.

I was at a game once and couldn't see the top of the CN Tower (which is right beside the SkyD .. Rogers Centre .. for those who don't know) due to foggy conditions. I suppose it could come into play but usually I think they would just shut the dome. Not sure why they didn't on that occasion ..

I remember Kelly Gruber hitting an inside-the-park home run at the old Exhibition Stadium in the 80s just by lifting a fly ball to the outfield and the fielder not being able to find it.
