Call me naive, but I honestly don't believe McGwire ever used roids. He hit 49 bombs his rookie year as a skinny guy, but some muscle mass. I've followed his career very closely and always remembered hearing that he would be in the gym during the offseason for 10 hours a day working out. Like I said, maybe I'm naive because McGwire was always my favorite player and I'm hoping he never did, but until there's som proof, I'm staying behind my beliefs.

Hitting a baseball is STILL the hardest thing to do in sport. I still love baseball and love what these players can do. If it was illegal at the time these guys were doing it,then it was cheating. It wasn't, so it wasn't. Just my $0.02.

I most agree with you 100%, Hitting 49hr's in his rookie year was amazing, he should did get big over the years, he may have used somthing like andro, but at the time he used andro it was perfectly legal.

You're asking for someone to prove that Sosa used steroids, prove to me that McGwire did. Or McGriwe as you spell it.

Until McGwire comes out and admits to using steroids, it will all be hearsay. Same thing with Sosa, although since he still plays, this could come by way of drug tests, although I doubt he would still be using steroids if he did at all in the past. Until then all we have are suspicions, and yours have no more validity than anyone elses.

You're asking for someone to prove that Sosa used steroids, prove to me that McGwire did. Or McGriwe as you spell it.

I'm not taking Big Mac off the hot seat, but should we really be listening to this guy? And I thought Pete Rose writing a book to tell everyone he lied and DID bet on baseball was a disgrace...

The way I took what he said was that President Bush had to know what was going on when he owned the team, I didnt hear him say that Bush introduced them to steroids. But I could be wrong.

we know mcgwire used andro, which is supposed to be like a steroid. he is definately not natural.

was mcgwire HUGE when he played with canseco? from what i remember.. in comparison to his size when he retired, he was pretty small.
