The way I took what he said was that President Bush had to know what was going on when he owned the team, I didnt hear him say that Bush introduced them to steroids. But I could be wrong.

That was the initial statement, and then he went on to say that Bush actually introduced and encouraged it. So our President is now a drug dealer? Hahahaha. Long time since your 40/40 days, huh Jose?

I most agree with you 100%, Hitting 49hr's in his rookie year was amazing, he should did get big over the years, he may have used somthing like andro, but at the time he used andro it was perfectly legal.

Hitting 50 HR's over history has always been a great acheivement. I remember when Cecil Fielder hit 50 back in the 90's what a big deal it was.

But now we're talking 60 to over 70HR's almost every year in the last 5. This by three different guys. The beauty about baseball statistics is that they usually hold up over a full season. That's why "on pace for" stats are useless. You could have 100 RBI at the break and be all but assured you'll end up with about 150 tops at the end of the season. It's just how it works out.

HR numbers have stayed consistent until the last few years when multiple players all crushed Maris' record. Un enhanced, I could see ONE guy having ONE year against all odds and hitting up to say 65 homers. But when three guys smash it all at the same time, something stinks.

They used to float around the 'juiced ball' theory, but I wonder if that was to deflect attention from the 'juiced player' controversy.

Dave Stewart is nothing but a punk imo. He's the same clown that played the race card when he didn't get the Jays GM job in 02. And then he went on the Jim Rome show about a year ago and once again procedded to rip the Jays for not hiring him as their GM.

no doubt thats my opinion, It's many people's opinion too, and if some people can believe Big Mac took steriods when he blasted 70 Hr's and not think Sammy took somthing when he Blasted 66 hr's the same year are crazy. You can't blame one and not the other. As for Sosa using a corked bat, thats a Fact, and that equal's a cheater

That picture is classic. That was after there little tift in spring training. Both have taken roids and I believe that big mac did too. I have no proof but I have a brain and have watched him grow from a twig to a giant and back to a twig now. Bonds did the same thing and now we know why. So I am suppost to think Mark didnt . I cant wait for the Easter Bunny to bring me a basket this Easter!

I still cant believe Sammy has never been named even once as rumor. His connection in the dominican must be very careful. Jistic makes a good point about the juiced ball. That phrase has kind of disappeared and I always wondered how true that was. How can they make the ball differently. So Wrigley gets a sack of balls that are juiced and PNC park gets some that are kind of juiced. hmmmm

I'm kind of curious as to who the big-time player is who Canseco accuses in his book that is yet to be announced.

There is apparently someone who is as big (star wise) as Bonds that Canseco implicates, but they are waiting for the 60 minutes interview and his book release to announce it.

I've looked at Canseco's career to try to cross-reference it with other player's careers and the only two big-time guys I could come up with are Tejada (1997) and.........none other than Roger Clemens (2000). Canseco never played on the same team at the same time as Sosa (which was my first guess). He came to Texas a couple years after Sosa had already departed there.

Liar or not, this is going to get very, very interesting. Especially if he implicates the greatest pitcher of our generation.

I have not seen mentioned in this entire thread another guy that has admitted using steriods. GARY SHEFFIELD!!! This guy is getting off WAY TOO EASY and he freaking admitted to using ROIDS!!!!
