    Your 2021 standing Predictions

with pitchers and Catchers about to report I thought it's time for us to predict our standings for 2021 I don't know if it is mathematical possible to get my results but it's just a estimate!

    AL East
Yankees 96-66 (I think they should still win the division the rotation has to be healthy though)
Blu Jays 92-70 (going for a Wild Card
Rays 89-73 (take a slight step back)
Red Sox 83-79 ( I think better then last year will hang early on but fall away at the end)
Orioles 60-102 (Another terrible year for Baltimore

    AL Central
Twins 95-67 (still think they are the team to beat in central)
White Sox 90-72 (I think they might be another year off)
Royals 85-77 ( I Like the line-up but their pitching will let them down
Indians 81-81 (This team will struggle to score runs and it's the beginning of the end lost to many pieces.)
Tigers 74-88 ( they made some strange moves to be comparative in the line-up

    AL West

Astros 90-72 (say what you want about them they still will be good
As 88-74 (take a slight step back this year, but this team can win with anyone)
Angels 82-80 (once again have no pitching, did nothing to help it will have to win games 12-10 and Trout yet again no post season
Mariners 75-87 (On the way up though and the future is bright with prospects)

    NL East
Braves 91-71 (only 91 wins because this division will beat itself up love their offence!)
Nationals 90-72 (short season did not work for them last year they will be back up there)
Mets 88-74 (sorry Mets fans but another year of hope, they signed to many pieces that are not complete and had to many misses)
Phillies 87-75 (This one I really have no idea about I don't know wat Phillies team will be around in 21 they have spend)
Marlins 74-86 (last years short season was a complete fluke making the playoffs that won't happen this year with a real 162 game season.

    NL Central
St Louis 90-72 (I am a bit worried about some aging players though but this division is not good
Brewers 89-73 ( I think they lack a bit of depth)
Cubs 83-79 ( I think they are on the decline here and might end up trading some big names mid season)
Reds 79-83 (they just haven't bought well in the off season and have a catcher playing SS! their roster has to many question marks right now
Pirates 62-100 (will be as bad as the Os. The team is a mess and rebuilding in the tank)

    NL west
Dodgers 105-57 (We all know they are the best)
Padres 97-65 (they will be great but won't keep up with the dodgers and have that wild card slot
Dbacks 78-84 (a lot of question marks on the roster here)
Giants 73-89 (still rebuilding and years away will struggle with offence
Rockies 61-101 (like the Pirates and Os looking at losing 100 games those 3 teams will battle out the MLB worst)

      Re: Your 2021 Predictions

August will be 100 years since eight men out in Chicago, 8 Black Sox banned for life. I predict Buck Weaver's lifetime ban will be lifted. maybe Shoeless Joe's too.

first manager fired in 2021: Tony La Russa, in early May, after topping (or bottoming out?) the Orioles terrible 1988 start of losing 21 straight.

I'll hold off a couple weeks on standing predicting

I think it's bad that a Met fan has more faith in the Yankees that I do lol.

I would be nervous supporting either NY teams. for a start both those teams can never stay healthy year after year. the yankees rotation has to many question marks it all has to work perfect for them to win it all. I think they have to many swing and miss home run or nothing type players which is why they always get beat by the Rays or Astros in the playoffs.

I think the old Mets are dead, this reboot with Cohen, they're gonna give the Dodgers a run for their money as the New Yankees. heck, if I were LA, I'd be more concerned with NYM than the Padres. as a Braves fan, I'm more worried about the Mets as I am Philly & DC combined. they'll (NYM) probably win more NL East titles over the next 15 years than the Braves Phillies and Nationals combined

The Mets will definitely be bigger spenders, but as long as Alderson is in charge I don’t think they’ll be willing to spend the kind of **** you money that the Dodgers are willing to spend

I don't think it happened yet with the 6 division alignment, but the NLE might be the first division where all teams Finish above 500. I'm not saying all those teams are world beaters, but even the worst teams in that division, Phillies and Marlins are solid.
The Braves will win it with a solid 98 plus wins, The Mets and Nats will win 90 plus, grabbing the two wildcard spots, and the Phil's and Marlins can easily win 80 to 85 games.
It's going to be the best division in baseball.

The closest in the AL was the 2015 AL East
                    Jays had 93 wins
                    Yankees had 87 wins
                    Os had 81 wins
                    Rays had 80 wins
                    Red Sox had 78 wins

The NL East did so in 2005! Nats finished 5th in their first season and had 81 wins.

Even when NL Central had 6 teams, they never had the 5 seed win over 75 games.

Under the current format going back to 1994, the AL West and Central has never had a 4 seed with over 80 wins. No NL division had a 4 seed win more than 83 games. AL East has had a 4 seed with 84+ wins 4 times since 2008!

                      AL East
1.Rays 93-69 (I still think they have the best rotation in the division, they still have a great bullpen, they can play very good defense and they're not too shabby in the clutch)
2.Blue Jays 91-71 (Offense unbelievable and their pitching staff, while not great, should help them win enough)
3.Yankees 87-75 (They will score a lot of runs, but that defense is not good at all, their rotation outside of Cole is trash and the bullpen ain't what it used to be)
4.Red Sox 79-83 (Again, another high scoring club, but their pitching staff still has a lot of holes)
5.Orioles 68-94 (Getting better, but still have a long way to go)

                      AL Central
1.White Sox 96-66 (Very well rounded team, will be a significant threat to other contenders)
2.Twins 92-70 (They don't have too many holes, but they have a tough time against other strong teams especially in games when it really matters)
3.Indians 83-79 (Their pitching staff, even without guys like Kluber, Carrasco, Clevinger and Hand will be their saving grace but their record ain't better than this because their offense will hold them back)
4.Royals 77-85 (Complete opposite of the Indians, as their offense will get them close to .500 but their pitching staff will cause them to have another sub-.500 record)
5.Tigers 65-97 (Just not a good club at all, but would be a huge step up from their record in 2019, as they went 47-114)

                      AL West
1.Astros 91-71 (Even with Springer gone and no Verlander, Houston takes back the division as their pitching steps their game up amid his absence get bounce back seasons Altuve, Bregman, Correa, the latter of which performs closer to some of his previous seasons rather than 2020, setting himself up for a nice payday)
2.Athletics 88-74 (They make a strong push in an attempt to defend their division title but fall short as a lack of consistent timely hitting costs them)
3.Angels 81-81 (They rank top 5 in many offensive categories, but their pitching staff ruins their chances of being over .500)
4.Mariners 73-89 (Yet another season of pure mediocrity)
5.Rangers 62-100 (Have not done anything to prove that they're ready to make a step in the right direction)

                      NL East
1.Braves 95-67 (Still have a very well balanced club that leads to a 4th consecutive division title despite the Mets additions)
2.Mets 92-70 (Despite not overtaking the Braves, the Mets win enough games to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2016)
3.Nationals 85-77 (Strong performances from Soto, Turner, Scherzer and Strasburg's return helps them to not have consecutive last place finishes, but it is not enough for them to return to the playoffs)
4.Phillies 82-80 (Offense has another strong showing and the pitching staff isn't as bad as last season, helping them be a .500+ team for the first time in the Bryce Harper era, but nevertheless is still shaky)
5.Marlins 74-88 (They are definitely getting better, but are not ready for primetime yet despite making it last season albeit not by much)

                      NL Central
1.Cardinals 93-69 (They get another strong showing from their pitching staff and while the offense does just enough to lead the Cardinals to their 2nd division title in 3 seasons)
2.Cubs 86-76 (Pitching does well and the offense does a little better, but is not enough to get them over the hump)
3.Brewers 83-79 (Bounce back seasons from Yelich and Hiura, as well as more strong showings from Burnes, Woodruff, Hader and Williams help them get over .500, but they fail to make it to the playoffs for the 4th straight season)
4.Reds 78-84 (Once again, they have a top 5 pitching staff despite losing Bauer via free agency and Iglesias via trade, but they finish in 4th place with a losing record as they once again have a bottom 5 offense)
5.Pirates 55-107 (They are an absolute dumpster fire and will not be competitive anytime soon)

                      NL West
1.Dodgers 97-65 (The Padres, with their key offseason acquisitions and other talented players give the reigning world series champions a strong push to try to become the first NL West champ other than the Dodgers since the Giants in 2012, but Los Angeles still takes it anyway)
2.Padres 95-67 (San Diego has their best season in a long time, but couldn't prevent the Dodgers from winning their 8th straight division title)
3.Giants 79-83 (They score a good amount of runs, but like last year, a weak pitching staff keeps them from being a .500+ team)
4.Diamondbacks 72-90 (Straight up mediocre club that does have some talent, but not enough pitching)
5.Rockies 63-99 (Don't have much talent, but somehow are lucky enough to not lose more games than Texas and Pittsburgh)

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
