Just watched it. Alonso getting the Trophy and the Bling from Ken Griffey Jr are what dreams are made of.

Legendary HR derby performance. He was just automatic.

Seems Olson has slowed things down a bit, which is better.

I do miss being able to admire every shot individually though.
They'd have a 4 hour show if they slowed it down like years prior.

I haven't seen or heard the full context, but Manfred told the BBWAA that he "doesn't think 7-inning doubleheaders will be part of our future going forward".

And that "the extra inning runner could disappear too."

          Yes to both.

Both of those would be to start the 2022 season. He also hinted at the DH in the NL.

He said there would be "non-radical changes", someone asked if the universal DH qualified as a non-radical change, to which he just replied with 'Yes'.

I have always been against the DH in the NL; I would prefer it than to have 7 innings DH’s and the stupid extra inning rules. Almost makes you think this was the plan all along…[emoji848]

I would much rather have universal DH than the two Manfred Rules.

Some tidbits: The AL has won seven consecutive All-Star Games and 19 of 23 dating to 1997. The 2019 victory came by a 4-3 margin, after a pair of extra-inning wins in 2017 and 2018. The AL leads the all-time series 45-43-2, outscoring the NL 373-370 overall.

AL's uniform look fine, NL not so much. I still prefer players simply wearing their team uniforms.

I'm looking at the scoreboard on ESPN and it states the game starting at 7:30.

If you are going to start the game at 8 just let me know.
