Seriously, that stadium is not in the greatest part of DC. One side of the stadium you see a businessy district, the other side is basically the ghetto with barred up windows and all that jazz. It's basically how Turner Field was.

It's like that heading into Philly too. It's all boarded up houses before you get to the airport. I was in DC last month for the Pirates game and you can tell what part is really nice and what part isnt.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).

Heading into DC from Baltimore, you really do head into parts of the area that either look abandoned or not in the best shape. Then when you get to the sports complex, you can tell the areas that have the money. Not wrong at all.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).

Y'all are taking a bad situation and completely gaslighting it.
Navy Yard does still have it's rough parts - public housing is around the corner from the stadium - but overall the city and that area are much, much safer than 10, 20 or 30 years ago.
But I'll let y'all continue to run with these false narratives and such......
And also, Baltimore (and likely Philadelphia) have a lot more "boarded up buildings" because there is less money in that city and the underprivileged communities is truly neglected there.
There are still pockets that are similarly effected in Washington, but definitely not to extent of the west side of Baltimore.
Of course, how and why DC has improved is another story and not all great either. Anyway, I had to jump in here and stop all this needless slander.

Wrong on so many levels, actually.

Re: 7/15/21 - 7/25/21 Game Discussion Thread
It isn't the 90s anymore, but SE DC isn't that great of an area still. It's still where most of the crime is. The stadium being there immediately improved some of the surrounding area, but you're lying if you say there aren't rough areas right there surrounding the stadium.

It just isn't and every statistic about crime states that.
You know, facts and data. Not slander and conjecture.
And that is nowhere near the roughest part of SE, but I'll drop the subject and keep it moving.
