Pretty remarkable that Strowman got out of that jam only giving up one run

What a horrible call, Ray Charles could see that wasn’t a home run

I think Brian Snitker has it in his head that he has to have at least 2 innings out of the bullpen no matter how long the game is.
Kyle Muller, 5 shutout innings, 75 pitches, 46 of them for strikes and a 2 run lead. Gets pulled. Reason being, I can only presume, is because it's a 7 inning game which Snitker has managed all season like starters innings are pro-rated to only allow 4-5 innings.

Cubs cleanup hitter tonight is Matt Duffy.

          Matt. Duffy.

The Mets do that all the time in doubleheaders. It seems like they’d rather pinch hit and go for the extra run instead of leaving in your starter n while he’s still pitching well

As of today, he's hit 23 home runs.............in his 6 year career.

I'm still holding out hope the Jays can get Hendricks from the Cubs, but I'm sure that price is high.

                They're not trading Hendricks

Mets have had such a quirky schedule this year. They didn’t play the Braves until a month and a half in to the season and after this series they’re done until the last series of the year, they also had seven in a row vs Pittsburgh and next month they play 13 in a row vs LA and SF.

Mets and Braves are putting on a clinic on how to not get a man in from 3rd with less than two outs

Braves continue to tread water; they are what they are...a .500ish team. Not surprising given they are giving at bats to Almonte, Heredia, and Adrianza on a regular basis and don't have Acuna, Ozuna, d'Arnaud, or Soroka. It is what it is...a bummer of a season.

Sox with their 33rd comeback win of the season thanks to Alex Verdugo's first home run in 118 at-bats (his last homer was June 15th against Atlanta).

Jays pitchers will continue to find ways to blow games.

It's sad seeing this offense being wasted.

Don't look now, but the Rangers are actually winning a game.

Here comes another bullpen implosion for the Yankees. Hurray.
