For those who don't know, that's the one where (as much as I think that I remember) the score was tied in the bottom of the ninth; Grissom hit a flyball that was incorrectly tracked by David Dellucci out in right-center field at the warning track at SBC Park. Anyway, Ruben Rivera started rounding second base (he was on first base), and as he was, realized that Green may have been able to catch the ball. So, he went back to second base and started running towards first base. Then he realized that Green had dropped it, and started running toward third... cutting a corner before second base. He realized he had done that, went back and touched second base, and then started huffing and puffing towards third. He barely makes it on a head first slide. Then, it's an overthrow, so he starts running home. He is tagged out on the throw home. And, as John Miller said on KNBR 680 that night, "And that was the worst baserunning in the history of the game!"
He was released the next day.Last edited by Blzer; 02-21-2005, 07:29 PM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment
