No matter how this game turns out, I really don't like that the Dodgers could be eliminated by one swing after having the second best season in the league.

My problem isn't with the calls. It's with the faking to get the calls. The more this **** gets a foothold, the more we'll be *required* to get robot **** and you're right, that's not what I want.



My hatred is toward the players and players only and for creating the confusion that leads umpires to "appear to make bad calls." And the fans and media for praising it all along and presenting it as a legitimate act and something *to* be praised.

Just weird to me I guess, I’ve always thought you were a fan of “old school” baseball which has always included pitch framing so it’s weird to me that this is the one thing you don’t like about pure, true baseball.

I haven’t chimed in as this has been beaten to death on this forum…but this isn’t new. The 1993 Giants won 103 games and didn’t even get to play a play in game…

I enjoy the 2nd Wildcard. But in fairness they should just go back to 1. You can't win your division. Then win a wildcard spot. If you can't do that then too bad.

Yeah I know. I don't really like divisions in any sport, but at least in the NFL it's only a 16 (now 17) game season.

After playing 162, it just seems cruel to lose 1 game and be done after winning 106. I don't know if it would be better or worse as a player to miss the playoffs altogether or play 1 game and lose.
