It's 2022 the days of 5 innings starts are over.. I hate the 28 man rosters this is why. you can have 11 friggin pitchers and get away with it. the W stat is the most useless stat in the game unless your a fantasy player. the 3 man bench the yankees are going to use till May to sneak this in. surprised other teams are not trying this. they are trying to be the Rays but in a different way.

yankees fans would have blown in hindsight about Boone but because Holmes did his job it worked out well and it's forgotton.

Nice bounce back win for the Mets and Scherzer going tomorrow for the series win. Showalter has some unusual bullpen management. Three days in a row now he’s had a reliever pitch more than one inning despite the extra arms in the bullpen

Dee Strange-Gordon on the bump for Washington. Let's see if Atlanta can start inflating their numbers a little bit.

EDIT: Arcia flies out to the warning track to begin the half-inning.

            EDIT: Albies second-decker, haha.

The 28 man rosters are only for April (maybe May as well cant remember) so that they dont have to rush to stretch out starters during the season since pitchers didn't have a full spring to ramp up.

Mauricio Dubon just drag-bunted for a single with a nine-run lead in the Padres-Giants game. We'll see what comes of that from tonight or tomorrow's game.

I'm personally of the mindset that no baseball game is out of reach, and as long as both teams are competing (e.g. still putting on shifts, not pitching position players, etc.) then anything is fair game, but I see the optics regardless and feel like there may be some comeuppance here.

I have no problem with it. This is the same team that had a career minor league pitcher hit a grand slam that helped cap off a come back after being down 8-0 against Max Scherzer of all people.

The stats still count and the players get paid based on their production.

Pitchers are batting 1.000 this year…Wil Meyers came into pitch last night and then singled in the next inning. Who needs the DH!?
