    Stat Question - Total Throws

Does anyone know if any website or database contains the number of total throws a player makes during a game? I'm doing a research project and this info would help me immensely.

For example, I can see how many pitches a pitcher throws and can determine number of throws to bases from the play-by-play. However, I'm not sure how to get the number of pick-off throws, warm-ups, and any other specific throws. I realize some of the data like warm-up throws likely doesn't exist, but I would think the throws during game would be available somewhere.

    Thanks in advance!

You would have to navigate the play-by-play summary to see pick off throws, both from the pitcher and back-picks from a catcher. Warm up pitches are easy enough. Pitchers get 8 warmups when they start their first inning, then 5 each inning after that.

You could probably estimate it and get relatively close

Thanks for the insight. For pitchers, are there any averages available on pre-game bullpen sessions? Specifically, looking for anytime the work rate is greater than 80%, which I assume only occurs in the middle of the session to get an idea of game speed pitch grips, control, and movement.

In between innings, is there a predetermined number of times each position player makes a throw? I assume there are too many dependent factors to get a reliable average.
