Jays and Red Sox tied for 1st in ALE begin a series in Boston on Tuesday.

They play in Toronto next week, and the Red Sox will be without a few players due to guys not being vaccinated.

Interestingly enough, the As also had some guys out for their series, and 1 was a guy the Jays dealt to the As. Have to think that's one of the reasons they added him into the deal.

Interesting piece on why Tim Anderson is the luckiest player in baseball. It goes with my notion that they need to trade him to get over the hump

Reality possibly starting to set in with Kyle Hendricks. The guy who made a career out of defying the advanced numbers appears to be running out magic. I hope the professor has one more ace like year in him

IF Patrick Wisdom can lay off the high fastball it’s going to be the thump the Cubs desperately need in this lineup. Huge if though

              Couldn't script it any better.

Freddie's first home run as a Dodger came in his first ever game AGAINST the Braves.

Joey Votto is his own worst enemy. He tinkers so damn much with his stance and swing that he is a blooming mess.

He’s gone back to choking up on the bat and his stance from 2019 and 2020…not sure why because those were his two worst seasons.

On the plus side, Lodolo looking much better in his second start.

Shame we can’t give him any run support.

While he may have missed out on his perfect game, Clayton Kershaw is 7 strikeouts away from passing Don Sutton for most in Dodgers history.

It's starting to feel like the Cubs might be a somewhat surprising playoff team. The NL West is likely to produce some strong WC contenders, so the Cubs will probably need to win the NL Central division to make it, but I have a good feeling. Seiya Suzuki is the real deal, and there are some nice complementary pieces around him. If the starting pitching can just be decent...the Cubs should have a chance to be playing meaningful games into September.

They are fun to watch after a somewhat listless decline from the 2015/2016/2017 peak, and into and through the swansong of the Maddon/Epstein regime. It seems like they might have been a little too comfortable as an organization, and the current group is playing with better energy.

Yeah I think they still need one more power bat (preferably a lefty) and some more pitching, but I'm liking this team so far.

There is a obvious change in offensive approach from the past few years, much more of a focus on contact.

They’ve been one of the most fun teams to watch so far and a pleasant surprise. I had them at 77 wins prior to the season since their offseason moves guaranteed they’d be much better than the Reds and Pirates. I’m most intrigued by Wisdom / Hoerner / Happ. We saw some of that gap power at work on opening day when Hoerner ripped the game winning double to center field

The Cardinals are playing their 9th game tonight and Wainwright is starting his 3rd game of the season.
