The Cardinals are playing their 9th game tonight and Wainwright is starting his 3rd game of the season.

Pujols in the lineup too, and all he's done is go 2-2 with a double and scored twice (the second time from 1st on an Edman triple).

7 hits in 17 at-bats. Limited AB's or not, he's making an impact.

Not true..we had a lead for half an inning last night and tonight.

Stephenson injured in a collision at home plate. Because the backup catcher was serving as DH, we have now lost the DH for the game and the pitcher spot will have to hit.

Scherzer had his best start as a Met, 7ip, 10Ks, and no runs. I did not expect to sweep a doubleheader after how the first few innings of the first game went

Yeah I think they still need one more power bat (preferably a lefty) and some more pitching, but I'm liking this team so far.

There is a obvious change in offensive approach from the past few years, much more of a focus on contact.

I love the contact approach. I saw Javier Baez swing for the moon way too many times when all he needed was to put the ball in play. He wasn't alone in that approach on those teams.

The coaching staff should just teach Seiya Suzuki to bat lefty and that will solve one issue. He seems like a quick study.

They’ve been one of the most fun teams to watch so far and a pleasant surprise. I had them at 77 wins prior to the season since their offseason moves guaranteed they’d be much better than the Reds and Pirates. I’m most intrigued by Wisdom / Hoerner / Happ. We saw some of that gap power at work on opening day when Hoerner ripped the game winning double to center field

It's probably too early to be making proclamations about the playoffs, but the team at least feels exciting to watch every day. Like today for example, I come home and they are losing 4-3 to TB. Then, TB goes up 6-3. Back in 2019, I would've basically chalked up the "L" for a game like this as we'd go through the motions in plate appearances. Tonight, I am thinking/hoping a walk-off could be on the menu.
