Good first inning for Cards players named Nolan.

Edit: Or maybe just all the Cards in general. Yepez goes deep too, back to back to back.

Carlson too! 4 in a row. This is nuts.

According to Twitter, it's only the 11th time in MLB history that a team has hit 4 consecutive home runs.

      And they come in bunches.

      Today
      8-16-20 White Sox
      6-9-19 Nationals
      7-27-17 Nationals
      *small gap*
      8-11-10 Dbacks
      8-14-08 White Sox

Most surprising part here is that none happened during the steroid era.

Phils have come back in the 3rd to tie it 5-5 and chase Liberatore - this is one crazy game.

After hitting send I decided to put in the research, because I love researching baseball history.

            7-2-22 Cards vs Phillies
Nolan Arenado, Nolan Gorman, Juan Yepez, Dylan Carlson- 1st inning off Kyle Gibson

            8-16-20 White Sox vs Cards
Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal, Jose Abreu, Eloy Jimenez- 5th inning off Roel Ramirez

            6-9-19 Nationals vs Padres
Howie Kendrick, Trea Turner, Adam Eaton, Anthony Rendon- 8th inning off Craig Stammen

            7-27-17 Nationals vs Brewers
Brian Goodwin, William Difo, Bryce Harper, Ryan Zimmerman off Michael Blazek (next batter flew out, and then Rendon homered. Almost had 6 in a row)

            8-11-10 DBacks vs Brewers
Adam LaRoche, Miguel Montero, Mark Reynolds, Stephen Drew- 4th inning off Dave Bush

            8-14-08 White Sox vs Royals
Jim Thome, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez, Juan Uribe- 4th inning off Joel Peralta and Rob Tejeda (Uribe)

            4-22-07 Red Sox vs Yankees
Manny Ramirez, J.D. Drew, Mike Lowell, Jason Varitek- 3rd inning off Chase Wright

            9-18-06 Dodgers vs Padres
Jeff Kent, J.D. Drew, Russell Martin, Marlon Anderson- 9th inning off Jon Adkins and Trevor Hoffman (Martin & Anderson)

5-2-64 Twins vs Kansas City Athletics
Tony Oliva, Bob Allison, Jimmie Hall, Harmon Killebrew- 11th inning off Dan Pfister and Vern Handrahan (Killebrew)

            7-31-63 Indians vs Angels
Woodie Held, Pedro Ramos, Tito Francona, Larry Brown- 6th inning off Paul Foytack

            6-8-61 Braves vs Reds
Eddie Mathews, Henry Aaron, Joe Adcock, Frank Thomas- 7th inning off Joe Maloney and Marshall Bridges (Adcock & Thomas)

There was such a big gap between the 3rd and 4th occurence that the guy that started the 4th (Jeff Kent) wasn't even alive when the 3rd one happened (born in 68).

Crazy moment from yesterday's Jays game which has a sad ending.

Yesterday we suddenly saw Jays coaches going around the dugout talking, and next thing you know their coach Montoyo, and their first base coach suddenly leave and Jays have an interim manager for the game.

Jays released a statement today revealing that their 1st base coaches oldest daughter has died.

deGrom made a rehab start, threw 24 pitches and struck out 5 of 6 batters, hit 100 mph 7 times. He’s been pretty durable throughout his career but after this past year of smaller injuries piling up one after another I don’t want to get too optimistic

Which Philly will end up being an All Star: Rhys Hoskins or Kyle Schwarber? I gotta say, both of them have really pulled it together during Harper’s extended injury. Schwarber leads the league in homers and Hoskins has shown off plenty of gap power

If I had to guess it would be Schwarber getting the vote cuz of home runs, but I think Hoskins has been more impressive all around, tho I’m biased cuz I have him in fantasy

The Twins turned MLB's first ever 8-5 triple play last night. White Sox runners had a brain fart.

1 out on the catch, throw gathered by 3B, he tags the guy who was originally on 1st, steps on 2nd to force the guy who's on 3rd out because he never tagged up.
