Checking the scores of Pirates games this year I have to double check if the Steelers aren't playing with some of these scores.

Re: 6/27 - 7/10 Game Discussion Thread
I only now just finished the Giants-Padres game this morning, but wow did anybody else see Jurickson Profar's injury last night?

Also related to the game... the Padres won on a walk-off ground rule double with the bases loaded when the game was tied. If this was a walk-off home run, the final score would have been 5-1. How come the final score here is 2-1 instead of 3-1? I'll have to find a way to get a camera angle with it, but I imagine the runner on third would have tagged up on the play as an ultimate caution, so he likely didn't cross home plate until the ball hit the ground and went out of play anyway.
I can see the only exception to this might just be that the baserunners didn't actually touch the required bases to score it unlike what you'd see in a home run, but I'm wondering even if they did if it would be allowed to be considered a statistical two-run double.

Home runs are the exemption to the rule that as soon as the home team takes the lead in the bottom of the 9th or extra innings, the game endsComment

Wtf is with all these umps calling balls at the ankles this year.
Matt Carpenter. All he does is hit. Boone must of listened to me. He's been in the lineup every day since I bitched about his PT.

Michael Harris is going to hit a slump pretty soon with such a varying BB/K ratio but I'm enjoying watching him while he's hot!Originally posted by Gibson88Anyone who asked for an ETA is not being Master of their Domain.

Swiping 4 bags. Tacking on a run with a suicide squeeze. Who are these Yankees?
