By the end of this series the Jays could have up to a 6.5 game lead for a playoff spot, or it goes back down to 2.5. Still lots of baseball left to be played.

It's unpopular, but I do like the 6 team playoff format. We're still likely having a team miss the playoffs despite being better than 1 team who'll make it, but if 2 or 3 of Jays,Mariners,Rays,O's miss the playoffs despite being better than the AL Central winner, that's not a good look at all. I know it's happened many times in the past, but that's exactly why this change was needed.

And the way things are going, the 6 seed in AL is projected for 90 wins, 6 seed in NL is projected for 88 wins. Far from saying a bad team will get in because of this.

This lineup lol. Wow I'm not even gonna complain. Yankees are just snakebit with injuries. Ronald Guzman batting 4th? Who? Minus Judge and Torres this is essentially a AAA lineup.

deGrom is so ****ing good, wasn’t as sharp as usual but still tossed 7 scoreless. Hopefully the Mets have snapped out of the funk they’ve been in the last few days
