The thing is, what level does he need to play at to make his upcoming major money seasons worth it?

The only time it's going to matter that he did steroids is if he's suddenly not a 4+ WAR player over the next 5 years or when HOF voting time comes. Other then that his production isn't tainted going forward. The bigger risk is the same as it's always been and that's keeping him on the field.

Went big last year and it didn't help them with Semien and Seager, we'll see if degrom is that missing piece.

Good for him, sucks to see him go but I can’t blame the Mets for not offering that type of money given his injury history. I’m looking forward to catching some Rangers games when he’s pitching
