A Pirates slide was expected, hopefully it isn't a long one....

Magnificient move Boone. Let's take out a guy that was doing fine for the struggling Holmes.

Man, The Trop is like a 10th man for the Rays. Teams that don't play there much must have so much trouble with the speed and bounce of the surface, not to mention the roof. Plus, the team is really good at baseball.Comment

Manipulate team control
They claim it was due to his production declining as pitchers were able to see more film on how to pitch him but he was as productive as any other bat in the lineup

Re: April 24th - May 7th Game Discussion Thread
After fielding Bryan Reynolds’ grounder in the seventh inning, Rays shortstop Wander Franco nonchalantly flipped the ball into the air, caught it with his bare hand and fired a strike to first base. Reynolds was out by more than a step.
Franco was feeling the vibe, so he poured it on. Did he cross a line? The video of his casually confident play quickly went viral on social media.
“I saw it,” Reynolds said evenly. “It didn’t impress me.”
Building a little drama for the World Series storylines; I like it.
I saw the play but it didn't catch my attention. I assumed he just bobbled it and recovered, though the Pirates broadcast team noticed it was a bit of showmanship and didn't think ill of it. Bryan Reynolds seems like a pretty serious dude.Comment

Patrick Corbin is currently throwing a 1 hit shutout through 7 against the Cubs today.. on like 75 pitches.
In unrelated news, Jeff Passan reported that the Cubs are calling up Matt MervisComment
