    Here's a fun fact I just read.

In the 50+ year history of the AL East, this is the first time ever the Red Sox and Yankees are the bottom 2 teams going into the all star break.

The standings could very well end up a reverse of the dreaded 98-03 ALE standings.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I'm a fan of it. It's not that simple. But he could definitely lead a different approach. Casey was an excellent contact guy. And the Yankees are awful at it. Bottom of the league in hits obp and avg. It's embarrassing really. Down there with the likes of rebuilding squads such as Oakland and Detroit.

If it wasn't for the stellar pitching and the long ball. This team is mediocre at best. Yes injuries skew the numbers. But regardless the approach has to change. It's been needed to change for years.

Speaking of hitting coaches, I'm surprised the Jays haven't done the same. Maybe this could wake management up to do a similar move. Yankees are in similar spot as Jays and they're doing something to address their hitting issues, Jays need to do the same.

A topic brought up on the international broadcast.

What would US vs World be like? Would there be more interest with that format (or maybe just for the first time or two)? Does it change competitive level?

Or does it wind up like the NBA and we vote on captains and then teams get drafted (especially if the lines between NL and AL are getting thinner and thinner as the years go on)?

Not sure if the Fox feed brought it up, but Vladdy and Gurriel (former teammates) are playing Rock, Paper, Scissors from opposing dugouts.

It took me until the bottom of the 2nd to realize they have A and N on their helmets for AL and NL.

I spent too much time trying to figure out when the DBacks or Braves acquired any of these players I know for being in the AL.

Don't bring that garbage captains thing to MLB. USA vs. the World would be awesome.

American League vs National League works just fine

This year alone the starting lineup could've been something like:

                      USA:
                      C-Murphy or Heim
                      1B-Freeman
                      2B-Semien
                      3B-Arenado or Jung
                      SS-Seager
                      OF-Betts,Carroll,Hays
                      DH-Martinez

                      World:
                      C-Diaz or Perez?
                      1B-Diaz
                      2B-Arraez
                      3B-Ramirez
                      SS-Arcia
                      OF-Acuna,Arozarena,Garcia
                      DH-Ohtani

I hate these All-Star uniforms. I wish they’d go back to wearing their regular teams uniforms.

                          Baseball God's hate the Jays.

In a single AB Romano gets hurt and Vlad almost got hurt by that near wild throw.

Truly amazing this garbage is the best they can come up with.

Did I just hear them say the game will be decided by a home run derby if tied? Why? That is terrible...

Could be worse, HRD could decide regular season games like a certain other sport and their skills comp after OT.
