I know he had the series saving hit vs Texas, but I was shocked yesterday when I saw David Freese was the most popular choice for the Cardinals/Won a World Series grid. I would have thought it would be Pujols or Yadi.Comment

Only 6 different Blue Jay pitchers have had 200+ strikeouts in a season!!! Of course I had Halladay and Clemens on the radar but going cheeky with Dave Stieb, nope, nor Jimmy Key.Comment

I make it my goal on each of these to get a rarity score of under 10…but man it’s nearly impossible. Best I’ve done is 27. Too many categories with too few options and I end up with a 12 or 15% player.

From memory?! You have a sharp mind dude.
I have always prided myself on my sports recall; my family always teased me why I couldn't use my brain for school like I do sports, but I have found that reaching mid 50s, my recall isn't as sharp. I need to see faces or names to trigger a recall.

Today’s was frustrating…I had a rarity score of 6 with 6 of my answers, and then 3 of my answers which I thought would be solid low rarity scores gave me 12%, 9%, and 8%…so a 35. It’s always hard to know how other people are answering; getting a 10 or less is going to be as much luck as it is skill.

That is so impressive in my book. For me it's easier to recall players from the 70s and 80s because there was as much movement as there is today (that may or not be a legitimate explanation, I know). I just get so mad at my blank outs especially reviewing the list afterward.Comment

I was well on my way to my best rarity score today until I made a bad choice for Twins and MVP that 46% of people chose and ended up with a 74. Other than the Mets the Braves are probably my favorite team to see on the grid, they had a lot of guys coming in and out in the 90s and since the teams were so good they’re easy to rememberLast edited by reyes the roof; 08-17-2023, 11:19 AM.Comment
