I personally think it's a disgrace. This is the closest thing to the 1919 Black Sox scandal in our lifetime. Baseball really needs a Kenesaw Mountain Landis type of commish with lots of power. Of cours the owners aren't going to give up any power they have right now. So this kind of stuff whether it be steroids or escalating salaries will continue for the forseeable future.

Not unless the government steps in and assigns the commissioner of baseball itself. Then MLB won't have a CHOICE but to behave. I know no one wants the government involved in this, but MLB IS America's past-time and it is the fans that are paying for the crap that is pretending to be baseball right now.

I honestly dont care in the slightest if any of these guys are on steroids or betting on their own team or whatever.

The only thing that would matter to me is gambling against your own team - that's the one line of character that no baseball player should cross. Aside from that, I dont care how upstanding they are in their personal or professional life.

The cream will rise to the top and the kids will still have their heroes.

I think you're just taking a stance intended to piss others off, so please step down. No true fan wants to hear your "80 homeruns per year are okay as long as it helps my Yankees, but betting on a game is just wrong" crap.
