That sucks, his mom and brother just arrived from Cuba a couple days ago and now he has to go and look for a new job.

Probably should have paid a bit more attention to his baserunning last year. I dont think he got cut solely because of his defense (although he was horrid. Let me tell you, Inge going to CF would probably be the worst CF in the AL, but he's still a huge upgrade over Sanchez) - Sanchez just never paid attention and the talk was that he never TRIED to improve his game as far as getting a baserunning sense. He made an INSANE amout of terrible decisions on the bases, costing the Tigers ballgames, and if I saw him slide into first one more time I swear to God I was going to puke.

Its too bad because the kid had a bit of a bat and speed to burn, but it appears that he never even tried to make a complete package out of it. But his story was a good one, and I honestly hope he goes to another team outside the AL central, gets his head on straight, and proves Trammell wrong. No bad wishes for him.

I don't D was the main reason. A leadoff hitter who only draws 7 walks the whole season is absolutely unacceptable!!!

As long as you dont ask the first two to hit or the last one to run down a fly ball or take a pitch or two (Thames would get DESTROYED in CF)

I thought something was up when they reported that he was reunited with his family who excaped from Cuba and all Trammel basically has to say is, "This is nice.... but he's got a job to do." I thought it was kind of cold so I thought something might be happening with him.

Is it me or is Cameron overrated? (he's great defensively and he can hit it out good but .248 career BA?)

Even so, I think at least a couple of them will have nice careers when all is said and done.. they're still young, and have plenty of time to improve.

I agree, I'm not big on Cameron at all, especially if it requires trading Urbina...he's getting older too, so that defense will be waning, not what I really want, I'd rather put someone in for half a season and then I think Granderson will be ready mid year
