    Buehrle to miss 4-6 weeks.

Due to a broken foot. With this news it's good news and bad news.

The Bad news: We loose Buehrle. A proven 15+ game winner and a consistant pitcher.

The Good news: Brandon McCarthy will now start on the major league roster. Not too manay people know about this kid(except for White Sox fans) but this kid has been outstanding in the pre-season. 15 IP and only 1 earned run. This kid is the best kept secret in baseball. Watch out for this kid.

The kid sounds legit. It is a bad break though because besides Buehrle and Garcia the rest of the staff has questions. Garland will stay healthy but the other two are the ones that would worry me health wise.

Look on the front page of Yahoo Sports MLB...

Lefthander Mark Buehrle apparently will have to wait an extra month before making his 2005 season debut.

According to a report from ESPN 1000 in Chicago, Buehrle will miss up to six weeks after a bone scan revealed a broken bone in his left foot.

"It's a tough blow for both Mark and us," White Sox general manger Kenny Williams told the station. "The only good news is that of the six weeks he will miss, two will be in spring training, so we only might miss him for a month."

Buehrle, who had been tabbed as the White Sox's Opening Day starter, suffered the injury while shagging fly balls before Chicago's Cactus League game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Sunday.

Williams indicated that Freddy Garcia will start on Opening Day against the Cleveland Indians on April 4 in Buehrle's absence and rookie Brandon McCarthy will join the rotation as the fifth starter.

Youre right. At the time I wrote my post it was said he had a stress fracture and after a bone scan it appears he has a stress reaction. I guess he will miss one start but they are gonna be careful. Good news for you.

This thing I have, called a job, umm not sure if you've heard of it. Probably not, since you dont even know how to type. Well, it prevents me from sitting in front of a TV or on a computer all day.

I was just posting what I read on Yahoo. Now, the same article I posted yesterday has changed, and now you are right, it's only day-to-day.
Lefthander Mark Buehrle may not be headed to the disabled list after all.

The Chicago White Sox confirmed on Tuesday that Buehrle is expected to miss at least one spring start with an injured left foot after it was first believed that he would miss four to six weeks with a hairline fracture.

Buehrle, who had been tabbed as the White Sox's Opening Day starter, suffered the injury while shagging fly balls before Chicago's Cactus League game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Sunday.
Now that this is cleared up. Do me a favor and next time you feel the need to post on this board. Use punctuation, it's a good thing!
