    Page 2 Article

As much as I absolutely despise Skip Bayless... he made a few good points.

Bonds didn't appear to realize that ESPN's camera already was rolling as reporters positioned themselves around him and his 15-year-old son Nikolai, seated next to him. Bonds did not qualify for Best Director as he ordered cameramen to "get my son in this, not just me, because I want to show the pain you've caused my family."
Bonds was using his son as a prop. Nikolai wasn't allowed to have a speaking part, but he was wearing a retro Barry Sanders jersey. As a Bay Area columnist, I spent enough time closely observing Bonds to know that he doesn't miss a trick. I'm convinced he instructed Nikolai to wear this jersey to convey a subtle threat from his dad: Barry Sanders retired early; and this Barry might, too, if you people don't quit writing and talking about all the bad stuff.

Very interesting article. I never thought Barry would go as low as to basically "fake" a cry for help and prolong an injury. (notice the writer said he had the same type of surgery and ran a mile a week later and the 2nd time was up and ready in 3 weeks) Very sad if it's true.

Or this is the stuff that Bonds says the media does to him. He's trying to be sincere, but the media twists it. He says he's hurt so the media says he's lying.

Neither side is right or wrong, but Skip said it himself: when he watches Bonds at-bat, it's like magic; everything else in-between is Maloox.

So while Skip may not like Bonds or the stuff he does, he's like a month to a flame; he can't help but get burned here and there.
