I take stabs at everyone, Padres included. Actually the Padres more than anyone.

I Am still trying to figure out why Bruce Bochy started Woody Williams, a noted flyball pitcher, in Coors Field.

Its one loss and the Mets fans look like they are going to jump out a window.

This was a lot like Pedro's Opening Day start for the Red Sox in 2003 where he gave up 1 unearned run and then Chad Fox served up the gopher ball to Carl Crawford in the ninth.

I had to laugh the last night when Karl Ravich picked the Pads to goto the world series.

Lots of people picked them to win the division. Just depends on health, and the young pitchers (Peavy, Eaton, and Lawrence).

i like the padres this year, and they can mos def contend seeing as though Barry will be out for a while.

They need to pick up some games early though

the forum over at nymets.com is going nuts. Maybe they forgot there is 161 games left?

It is one game, but I can understand their reasoning.

The bullpen is going to cost the mets alot of games this year, hopefully for the team and its fans Minaya can work something out

                                How 'bout those Reds?! 7-6

The Reds always seem to find a way to win Opening Day (with the exception of the GABP grand opening when Reggie Sanders went nuts for the Pirates). The Mets should have left Dae-Sung Koo in there. The Reds couldn't hit him.

Mets fans need to relax. It's a long season. And, it's only one win for the Reds. Loooooong way to go. Great start though.
