Anyone watching this game? Sexson has two homers, 5 RBI's and it's only the fourth inning. Moyer is also pitching well, he has 3 K's in three innings, not bad. This new M's team looks like it will be able to supply the run support needed, hopefully.

I'm watching the game. SEXSON is definately flexin...2 HR's 5 RBI's. I'm hoping the Mariners this year can make a push for the postseason once again...its all gonna depend on the rotation..Comment

Yep. And, so far Moyer is looking good, but the Twins dont seem the same offensively. We already have Pineiro on the DL so who knows. I sure am liking Richie's performance though.Originally posted by jonkimble

I actually look at this as a bad sign.
The game is over and we got no help from our #2, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 hitters...that's not a good thing. Granted it's only 1 game out of 162, but I hope we don't expect Ichiro, Beltre and Sexson to be our offense all year long.
I think it's a bad idea for Boone to bat behind Sexson. I feel he's always trying to prove his numbers and unwilling to take a single or work the count. He works too hard to pull the ball and mash it. I think if he batted behind Ibanez, he wouldn't try to match Sexson's style. Sexson can pull it off, while Boonie struggles to always hit the HR.
Twinkies did not look good against our new team...let's see what the m's can do against Santana tomorrow. That'll be the real game to judge.Comment
