    Red Sox Ring Ceremony

It baffles my mind why isn't Sportsnet picking up the ring ceremony. Their coverage starts at 12 and the rings will be given out at 11:15. I think it's a bad decision not to show it.

Good thing I can still watch this momentous occasion on the web.

D-Lowe flew in from LA after he pitched last night to get his ring.

You got the ring ceremony and then Yanks vs. Red Sox. Great day to be a baseball fan!

Buckner got a loud ovation when his name was mentioned in a song.

Rivera got a monster ovation from the crowd when he was introduced and he actually tipped his hat to the crowd ... LOL

Nice touch by the Red Sox organization to bring out Boston Sport Icons Bill Russell, Bobby Orr, Tedy Bruschi, and Richard Seymour to throw out the first pitch. BTW Russell threw like a girl, but that's to be expected since he's a former NBA player.

That's to be expected. The man can throw however the hell he feels like throwing. You can do that when you win 11 championships, including 8 straight.

It was great seeing Bruschi out there, too.

I was watching it on the web but it was stuttering and freezing like a b'otch

If anyone out there recorded the ring ceremony, I'd love to get a copy of it for cash considerations. PM if you could be of any help

I had to give up my web subscription, not because of that mind you but anyways if you're having stuttering problems and watching the game live switch over to the Realmedia feed. It's a lot more clearer and hardly any stuttering or freezing.

They're re-airing it here on NESN at 11pm

jeez wish I knew that before

I chose Windows Media because I could click in and out of Full Screen mode easier than with Real Player. I had to stop the feed, then reload it if I wanted to exit Full Screen with Real Player.

And I don't have NESN, so I can't record it. Only reason I asked if anyone was recording it was because some people had recorded the ALCS games and WS games and were selling them on SOSH

I just got back from the ceremony and game. What an amazing time. I've never been in Fenway when the entire park was so energetic.

The standing ovation for Rivera was classic. He handled it real well too, laughing and tipping his cap to the crowd. Boggles my mind why Yankees fans would boo such a classy individual.

Yeah I had a good laugh when I saw that, classy move

That is probably the worst statement ever. Not everyone cares about them.

Congratulations to the Red Sox on last year. I still don't understand why they gave everyone and their mother a ring, though.

Actually it's not as hard as you make it out to be. When you're in fullscreen mode with Realplayer just press the escape button to go back to the original screen size.

Because they wanted to thank everyone who put their hard work into the season.

i for one felt it was a very classy move to give out rings to basically everyone involved in last season, because they all put their time into it and deserve something in return.(500 might be a little too many, but they go the funds to do so.)
