(Notice I said many not all Red Sox fans show no class)

Its unbelievable. For the last 5 years... the Sox throw at our hitters (many more times than the Yanks have hit them... I'll get the numbers if anyone actually needs them )... their fans come into our bullpen... they chant curses at us.... and they just generally act like idiots.

I seriously dislike stupid Sox fans like this.

last year Yankee stadium...game 6 I believe.

HBP...red Sox have had pitchers WITH KNOWN control problems, whereas the yankees have good control pitchers. Most of the pitches Ive seen that have hit yankees batters have been looping curves, not high and tight fastballs.

The incident in the BP was the fault of BOTH TEAMS.

Dont even get started on chanting curses, mmkay

Tonights game....definitley not on purpose. The fan was reaching down to get a ball, saw that he couldnt get it, then pulled back quickly when he saw Sheff...now the real A-hole was the beer thrower.

Then replay it and you'll see that he clearly throws the beer, it was no accident. The beer is out of the cup before Sheff turns to push the guy.

That was a dark moment for Yanks fans but at least it wasn't towards the other team.. it was frustration out of blowing the series.

The lawsuit was never settled... from what I've read .... many say that the employee spit on Nelson and then verbally abused him and then went after him and the minority think that Nelson went after him unprovoked.

right...whatever....frustatration for blowing the series....sure.

I agree. The guy to the left of the woman clearly tossed his beer towards Sheffield. He was taking a drink of beer then flicked the cup forward towards Sheffield.

Man, I don't what y'all are seein 'but the drunk fan elbowed sheffield and there's NO way in hell he was goin' after the ball imo...If sheffy was still juicin'...he woulda been up in the stands poundin' on the fool!

When Sheff and the fan got into it, they started leaning the opposite way, when they did that, they bumped into the guy, causing his beer to spill out.

And McJackass (McDonough) was let go because of contract demands I believe

Yea, saw a few more replays. Clearly threw the beer on purpose. Not sure if the fan hit him on purpose, either way though, you can't interfere like that.

Security did a good job though, and it's over. Hopefully this doesn't get too overblown and become a major topic for awhile.

Thank you, a man that saw what I saw. He flips his wrist and douses Sheffield with the beer. His cup was empty by the time the lady bumped into him.

Another thing, the Yanks got robbed on it, it should have been ruled a double, and one of there runs should not have scored. If I was sheff, I couldnt have controled myself

I think the confusion is that another beer was spilled when Sheffield shoved the guy.

No...the guy never touched the ball. Thats the rule, the ball has to be touched directly.

The fan never touched the ball or interfered with Sheffields ability to play the ball. It was Sheffields decision to shove the guy rather than throw the ball back in.
