I am so glad the Mets didn't sign him.

He's had some weird ailments. I hate to wonder but is it the result of not taking something anymore because he looks smaller in some areas espically his forearms. Those incentive clauses will be put to the test.

Somewhere in Chicago, White Sox GM Kenny Williams is smiling.

I thought all his contract clauses said the problem had to be tied directly to him losing playing time due to his knee.

I thought I read in the freep today that if he's on the DL 25% of the time Detroit can opt out of the deal after this year.

"Magglio Ordonez's deal with the Tigers will be worth up to $105 million over seven years and includes a clause that will allow it to be voided after 2005 if a reoccurrence of his left knee problem lands him on the DL for at least 25 days."

Its a smart deal, as an injury to another part of his body can never be expected, but the injury to his knee(and I think I read somewhere that he can still injure it, if its not connected to his original injury) has a greater chance of happening.

                            This sucks.

I knew the guy would get hurt sometime or another, but I figured it'd be his knee.. now we got somethin' else to worry about.

If they were smart they would check his knee. Who is to say he is "sick" and has hernia. The way it sounds is that he has been telling all of this stuff via phonecalls.
