    Biggest FA Bust so far

I'm taking into account the size of the contract so somebody like Billy Koch doesn't count.

The biggest flop so far is JD Drew.

    Doesn't have any HR's, RBI's, or Doubles. He's hitting a buck 14 right now.

I know it's still early in the season but he's the kind of guy you're afraid is going to tank it after signing a big long-term contract. At least the Dodgers have been able to win without him.

If you know it's early in the season..why make a post? I'd post this near the all-star break.

It's like judging a NFL player after the 1st game of the season i.e. makes no sense.

Umm.... because it's an internet message board. I'm just giving my opinion.

I mentioned in my post it's still early in the season so Drew has plenty of time to turn it around, but up to this point he doesn't look good.

Ignoring the fact that it is indeed very early...Magglio Ordonez.

              oooo--eeee owwwwww MAGGGLIOW!!

              hahaha

eat it Mags, I used to like you, but when you started talkin all that crap, well lets just say you deserved everything your gonna get this season. Lets see how many days/months you'll miss do to injuries. Stupid Mags, talking crap before the season started..thats what you call bad karma

And about JD Drew, well hes also injury prone, so I doubt he'll also play alot of games this season, so he'll probably be a big bust.

And Nivek why are you always so negative? Every post I've been into (which is alot!) youve had a reply. And they all have had a negative vibe. Either you have a lot of time on your hands to post 1 post per second, or your just a grumpy old man that has nothing better to do.

Baseball is a game of endurance.. slow starts are common to the game. You are calling them busts when there hasn't even been 2 weeks of play?

And he has a green name, so that means he has the right to be as grumpy as he wants.

Not possible to label anyone a bust yet.

The only bust so far is Magglio. Steve Stone was quoted in the paper today, saying Magglio's contract says that it is void if he spends 25 days on the DL because of his knee, so Stone says, if I were Magglio and I was recovered from my hernia and my knee hurts too much to play then he should say the hernia still hurts. The Tigers never should have given him that money when they really had no competitors.

Juan Gonzalez. You would think the Indians would have learned after how he was last year in KC.

Didn't they sign him to like a 1 million dollar minor league contract? That really doesn't qualify as a bust.

This is a stupid thread in the first place. You cant call JD Drew a bust YET. We are 10 games into the season. Thats like saying Peyton Manning is a bust if he doesnt throw a TD the 1st game of the season.
