Making it to "THE POSTSEASON" Success

I did this for basketball, and Laker fans and Spur fans must be thrilled, since their teams make it to the playoffs 93 percent of the years they've existed...

I will add a twist though... Teams don't make it often because the playoff size is so small... I will add WS Wins, and Pennant Wins to the Playoff Appearances to get a proper success rate!

    Formula:

(Playoff Appearances + Pennant Wins + WS Wins) / Years of Existence

    1.05 - Yankees
    .714 - Diamondbacks
    .500 - Marlins
    .442 - Athletics
    .438 - Dodgers
    .431 - Cardinals
    .402 - Giants
    .321 - Blue Jays
    .317 - Red Sox
    .310 - Braves
    .279 - Mets
    .278 - Royals
    .264 - Cubs
    .231 - Tigers
    .228 - Pirates
    .220 - Reds
    .202 - Orioles
    .192 - Twins
    .186 - Astros
    .159 - Angels
    .154 - Indians
    .143 - Mariners
    .139 - Padres
    .135 - White Sox
    .123 - Phillies
    .083 - Rockies
    .083 - Brewers
    .068 - Rangers
    .028 - Nationals
    .000 - Devil Rays

The formula makes sense. Maybe you should leave out the teams who have not been in existance for at least 20 years. No way that anyone could consider the D-backs a more successful franchise than the others in the top 10.

or the Marlins... but we have to hand it to these teams... they've done a great job getting these teams off to great starts.

      UNLIKE the Rockies!!!
