    Nailed!

Lenny Dykstra is the latest player to be accused of steroid use back in 1993. Also, Dykstra is involved in gambling aligations as well.

When I first heard this story I thought "nah" but then I remember how he looked with the Mets and then with the Phils. The notion of him taking steroids isn't so far fetched

Just look at the muscalature in that 2nd pic. It's a pretty big change tho not eye poppingly so like other roid users.

It just goes to show that you don't have to be huge to gain the benefits of steroids.

Every article I've read about steroids has stated the same thing. The biggest advantage every baseball player gains from steroids is that players on steroids don't tire out. They don't face "the dog days of summer".

It makes sense. 162 games is a long season and no matter how good of shape a player is in, he's going to be dragging near the end of the year. Steroids eliminate or seriously reduce that feeling. A player on 'roids will feel very fresh near the end of the season while a non-steroid player would feel the drain of a 162 game season.

I'm curious, do you have years for those photos?

Certianly he could have been on the juice, but then it's possible he just got bigger on his own. Personally I've added more than 35 pounds over the last 3 years from working out despite losing time for various reasons and I definetly don't have the benefit of working out every day or professional training support.

First pic: mid-late 80s (i'm not sure on the actual year)

second pic: 1993 (The year that it's said he was on roids)

I've always thought he was on the roids but to me that doesn't diminish what he did for that team and this city.
