Position Player: Jeter.... Not even a top 10 in terms of talent... but every team needs a leader and he is the best. The things he brings to a team and the way he performs when its needed makes him my #1 pick.
Pitcher: Santana.... young and has an unbelievable future ahead of him.

Position Player: Albert Pujols - Dude is a stud. Hits for average, power, and has that uncanny ability to drive in runs when they are needed most.
Pitcher: Jake Peavy - Younger and better than almost any pitcher in baseball today....including Johan Santana.Comment

Pitching is a toss up between Santana and Peavy, but i would probably choose Santana (but man, could you imagine Santana and Peavy in the same rotation...leave your bats at home kids!)Comment

Like a lot of people I'd take Pujols with the first pick - he hits for average and power and he walks more than he strikes out. Plus he is only 25.
