That's what they should do but someone upstairs doesn't want to give the fans the impression that they are rebuilding. At least that's what I think. That's just dumb.

More evidence today to make Votto the everyday 1st baseman. Huge day, drove in the first 5 runs for the Reds.

Griffey getting closer to 600 today

Attended my first game of the season tonight and it was one to forget. Although, the beer was good. Not worth $7 a bottle but it went down pretty well. $4 for a regular hot dog too, by the way. Guess that's how we're paying for our closer that we've only given 2 save opps to so far?

just took a quick look at some minor league stats.

            Bill Bray should be called up immediately. 5.1 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 R, 10 K, 3 BB

Homey Bailey's control problems did not follow him to Louisville. 2-1, 1.42 ERA, 13 K, 3 BB, 0.89 WHIP

Jay Bruce is third in RBI (9) behind Jerry Hairston Jr. (10) and Alvin Colina (11).

dammit. I want Edwin to succeed so bad but we just can't afford to keep playing him at third if he keeps playing like he is. I know he had the only run with a HR but man, one error that allowed the Brewers to take the lead and another ball he booted that allowed another runner to score. Six errors already this season for EE, that's pathetic.

edit: OK, so he hit a HR, his second of the game. But still, he needs to fix his defense, man.

edit 2: BAKO!!! Oh man, when's the last time he hit a HR?

Well, it looks like Aaron Harang is right on his way to another 200+ IP, 200+ K, 15+ win, mid-3 ERA season. This guy is just flat out awesome. As much as I'd love for him to get more credit, I like the fact that he's still pretty under the radar for how much he dominates.

Two years ago, he was the first pitcher to ever lead/tie for the league lead in W's and K's and not get a SINGLE Cy Young vote. He's so under the radar its crazy.

That was an awesome comeback, not gonna lie I was listening in the car for the top of the 10th and I hit a low point, almost turned it off. But got home right as EE was hitting his HR and walked in to walk Bako go deep.

With Frank Thomas becoming available today after the Jays released him would you like to see the Reds make a run at the Big Hurt?

why would we? I'd like to have the Big Hurt on my team almost any day, but with Votto and Hatteberg plus Keppinger once Alex Gonzalez is healthy, there's just no room for him.

Patterson has cooled off a lot and considering he is our lead off man I think it has hampered our offense a lot. Yet Dusty refuses to sit him or bat him lower in the lineup.

looks like Belisle is not only coming off the DL but he'll replace Fogg in the rotation.
