That was an awesome game. There was tons of Philly fans at the game today. I couldn't believe it when I sat down, I was surrounded by Phillies.

I know Hudson is coming back soon but we can't expect him to be his old dominant self right away.
That homer to Howard was one of the few lately where I think you just tip your cap to the hitter....the pitch was the same one he's been devastating hitters with all year and he located it perfectly. It was if Howard knew the slider was coming and just waited on it...not many guys could hit that out. Tough loss and even more important that we won today.

Went to the last game of the Braves-Yankees series this year and there were more Yankees fans than Braves.

As for Soriano I just saw on his ESPN profile that he has been experiencing muscle discomfort

Bobby has been killing the bullpen this year and frankly even the starters. He has been leaving the starters in too long because the bullpen is tired. He only uses 4 guys in the bullpen, so of course they will be tired. He needs to use other guys more and not just during blowouts.

Bingo. I'd love to see more Kris Medlan and Manny Acosta.

What a disappointing series with the Phillies. I guess on the positive side, at least we came back Saturday and avoided a sweep. Now it's on to the Mets. I'm thinking we're playing for the wildcard now, although we have the Phillies again in a few weeks. Who knows what the Phillies division lead will be by then though? I keep waiting on the Marlins to drift away but it's not happening.

Yep, 6 games back again. Everytime we get within 3 or 4 games of the Phils it seems like we end up right back where we started. Any division title hopes are pretty much mute at this point. It's wild card or bust in my opinion.

Division isn't over yet, but if they aren't 2-3 games out after the next series with Philly, it probably is.

If the Braves somehow reeach the playoffs .. I do not want Lowe starting. I would rather have Vasquez (sp?) , Jurrjens (sp?) and Hanson starting. Lowe has been horrible as a #1 outside of a handful of starts.

Despite his 12 wins, he's been the most inconsistent starter we have this season. He's either good or really bad. There doesn't seem to be anything in between with him this year. It's funny that most fans are happy when their team's #1 starter takes the mound. With the Braves that isn't the case. Losing to the Mets is bad enough, but to give up 8 or 9 runs and 10 hits in the same inning is ridiculous, especially when you had a 4-0 lead. To make things worse, the Phillies and Rockies both won last night.

During the offseason we need to trade Lowe. He's too inconsistent. If his sinker isn't dropping he's screwed. We really have no need for him with Hudson coming back soon.

Huge series starting tonight in Atlanta. It would be nice to put some distance between us and the Marlins. There's still plenty of time to make a move in the division or wildcard, but it's really aggravating to win games and have the Phillies and Rockies winning too. We can't seem to catch a break.

The next 10 games the Rockies have include 7 games against S.F. and 3 against L.A.. If we're going to catch them or at least gain serious ground on them, this is the time.

That's good to know. Hopefully they'll drop 6 or 7 of them.
