    Re: 2009 San Francisco Giants

Well i think we can all breath a little sigh of relief after the game today.

Excellent game by Cain, and great clutch hitting and throwing by Schierholtz.

Hopefully Bochy won't keep him out against lefties anymore.

Yeah that was a most win game and Wilson actually settle down nicely. Sand and Nate were good today.

I just found out Sue died last night RIP Sue. She was part owner on the Giants! For you that don't know her, she was a big part of the Giants. Sad day indeed!

Glad you got to see the park and had a good time. What a week to pick to go see some games.

RIP Sue Burns and thank you. She was a kind heart and soul. Every time I saw her in the owner's box she was always smiling. I read the paper today and it talked about how she was on a first name basis with even concession workers, ticket takers and ground people. She will be missed.

Let's hope that Sanchez can carry over his performance and build confidence going forward. Battle of the pitchers in this series..

Well Sanchez pitched a good game save the one one pitch to Jones but what the H has happened to Romo the last two games, he's usually pretty reliable.

To be fair he threw the first two batters just fine, and they both happened to bloop little duck-snort singles in front of Winn. He even had Diaz behind in a two strike count, but then promptly gave up two more hits afterwards.

I mean his stuff is still there, so nothing really happened to him per se.

Maybe the knee is bothering him more than he is saying. He might be overcompensating.

Not the start we were looking for. I don't know why the Pirates gives us so much trouble in Pittsburgh. And the Braves have been a thorn in our side, ever since '93. We need to turn this road thing around.

And going against Lowe with Sadowski.. our backs are against the wall for sure. If we can somehow steal this game and learn to hit something again..

                          Since coming back..

                          Rowand: 0-14 1RBI 4K
                          Sandoval: 4-18 1RBI 4K
                          Renteria: 3-17 0RBI 5K
                          Uribe: 2-12 0RBI 3K
                          Molina 3-11 0RBI

Our lineup is bad enough so if our "top" hitters are struggling, the whole team is going to struggle.

I'm not sure if anyone's going to stop the Rockies.. they have so much firepower over there and have shown to be able to win on the road as well. The Giants are a whole nother team on the road.

Y'awl swept us earlier this year after we were really going strong (came into SF w/like a 5-6 game after just sweeping the Jays in Atlanta) so if we sweep y'awl we can call it even.

The game on Wednesday (Jurrjens vs. Lincecum) will be an awesome matchup to watch.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

It looks like it was a good idea for me not to bother watching today. This has probably been the worst way to start the 2nd half of the season.. much like how we started the year.

In other topics.. has anyone had the spicy, smoky, peach salsa from trader joes? It's different, but pretty friggin good. Much more refreshing than watching the Giants offense.

No, but it sounds gross, but I will try it. This is pretty much what I expected from the Giants. I really can't understand way Sab did not go get 2 bats this year, but oh well. They should be pretty good next year and hell I am happy they are about 500, for now!
