No reason we can't take the division.
Pittsburgh I remain skeptical of. They haven't shown that 2nd half mettle the past 2-3 years. STL is obviously always a threat, but in our division-winning years of 2010 and 2012 we separated from the pack in August and September. We may be down 4 games now, but we haven't even hit our time yet. Still like us to take another division crown.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Team is playing terrible right now and looks like another trip to the DL for Cueto.Comment

re: 2014 Cincinnati Reds Thread
Cueto is great, but he has to change his delivery. He's useless if he's always on the DL. This teams hitting is just garbage though. I've been saying Brook Jacoby shouldn't be the hitting coach for years...Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Home run by Mes! I'd like to see him get 3/5 starts and Hanigan get 2/5.NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)

My bold prediction is that the WS winner comes from the NL Central. PIT, STL, or CIN. I know the Braves are good, and the Nationals will probably have a good second half and someone will emerge from the West, but I think us 3 in the Central are the most consistently good ballclubs in the NL and maybe the whole league.
PIT's doing a good job of making sure even a rough 2nd half might still see them make the playoffs, STL is gonna be around all season. Reds have to come strong in the 2nd half and I think we will. We've been a pretty strong second half team in the past few years.
I believe at worst we get that second wild card spot. From there, who knows.
Let me just say I'm enjoying being so competitive in recent years. I've only been following the Reds for about 12 years now, but the first 8 or so (with the exception of a spotting of competitiveness in '06 I believe) were mostly miserable. Feeling confident that at worst we qualify for the playoffs as a wild card almost seems criminal considering our 2000's decade record.
Go Reds! I love wearing my colors proudly!NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

What a development for Bailey. The no-hitters are crazy but he's turned into our horse, as what, our 3rd man? May have to reshuffle that rotation. This kid has figured it out. I see long term success and bigger things. He went through the roughness of being young and really learned. Great story. Hanigan certainly gets some credit too.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

I was at the game! You could tell early on that Homer was dealing big time. That walk was the right call but everyone was bummed, he totally could have been perfect.Comment

That's pretty cool. Wish I'd have been there. Closest I've come to seeing one in person was like 1998 when Ramon Martinez had one going but lost it with two outs in the 8th.
