shh the Bentancourt thing never happened... it was all a bad dream.

Finally a win today 8-7. Brandon Phillips got called up and I wanna cry, we don't need this guy. Elarton is proving to be a great #5 guy.

Nice to see Hernandez getting hot. We needed this game. 4 in a row was just too much.

I kind of like the Brandon call-up. They need to send Boone down. I am sick of hearing how he is getting his swing back. When you are still hovering at the Mendoza Line at the break the swing is not near back. I would love to see blake back at third. The big series will be the one after the break. 4 at home with the Sox...a chance to bring them back to the pack.

They could be showcasing Phillips for other teams so they can work a trade. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Indians and Brewers were working on a trade to bring Carlos Lee to the Indians. Apparantely it fell apart. It's too bad...he would be great to have hitting in the 4-hole between Pronk and Victor.

Just think of this lineup:

CF Sizemore
RF Crisp
DH Hafner
LF Lee
C Martinez
2B Belliard
1B Broussard
3B Blake
SS Peralta

They've also been looking at some Reds hitters as this article describes.
