The head-to-head experience is really good in this game.

After saying that I've been disconnected 3 times in 4 games today. All as soon as I made contact with the ball, it counted a strike, the players froze and pretty soon I got a message saying I was disconnected. Twice vs cross-platform opponents and once vs another PC player (can tell because they have their Steam avatar shown)

Geez. What happened since Tuesday?

I tried 99 just for kicks.

I wouldn't believe anyone that wins a game on 99. Not with an unedited team.


Back to reality, I upped my ego to 49 and that's been a nice challenge for me. Still find pitching too easy so I think it's time to up ego independently.

The graphics look really solid. Also very impressed with the player movement on the field, though there doesn't seem to be a lot of animations. Surprised there isn't a bare-handed grab and throw. Every play has the fielder pound the ball into the glove. Possible certain animations only exist for certain elite defensive players?

Has anyone seen an injury that isn't the pitcher getting rocked?

I was very disappointed in this game after enjoying and seeing the potential in the first game. I'm glad I got this on Steam so that I could get a refund. The core gameplay on the field is fun, but I really really missed the team progression from the first game via staff assignments. In this game, your team can actually get worse as you are going up ego levels (due to injuries and players in a slump), so the game gets harder not just difficulty wise but from a pure ratings standpoint as well.

It's clear to me that the devs focused on the multiplayer mode for this release, since single player is actually worse than last year. I don't see the point of carrying stats between seasons if everything is just going to be the exact same as the previous year.

Not a visual one (like, one tied to an animation), but I have seen the injury notification slide in a few times after plays like slides or dives.

My left fielder injured herself making a diving catch. She didn't have to leave the game but I subbed her out anyway as her ratings were in the crapper.

She had a dislocated shoulder. After a couple games, her fitness is decent enough to play though still not at 100%.

I think that's precisely why it won't happen.
It explains why nobody had made a generic NFL game with robust roster editing and sharing.

Wish they could implement a shadow of the ball when trying to track down a fly ball. Like in The Show. With that said, I’ve already made quite a few diving catches, something I was unable to do in The Show. And it’s exciting robbing a hit in SMB2!

Played from 7pm tonight until 11:30, like Earl said I literally have to pull myself away from it knowing I have work in the morning.

I completely agree with Dirty, my sports game of the year for me and I haven't touched singleplayer yet. All I've been doing tonight is playing online! I played 3 unranked against my dad, all super smooth online, amazing really how smooth. I then switched to pennant race online with crossplay(I'm on PC, played all console players) and went 4-2, only had 2 small hiccups. One it showed him fouling it back and the ball was suddenly at the center field wall. I managed to throw to cutoff and he was at second. The second time it showed him fouling it off again and then it cut to the ball flying foul.

All in all, for 4 and a half hours of none stop online play and only those two issues, I'm ecstatic about playing this online from here on out! Pennant race is on boys!!!!!!!

Loving the game online but my last 2 games it says ive been disconnected and awarded a loss to my record
It played smooth first day and now this .. Anyone else seeing this issue

The game is incredibly addicting. I love it so much. The creation suite is awesome. I wanted to create a raccoon logo and it was rather simple. Being able to edit everything from the uniforms to the player attributes is simply awesome.

The gameplay is so much fun. It plays an excellent game of baseball. It has an arcade look, but the game plays much like a sim.

This game gets an 11 out of 10 for me.

Having a ton of fun with this and while I enjoy all the customization options I've had the most fun by just playing with one of the pre-made teams (The Wild Pigs) in season play (30 team, 6 divisions, 162 game season) and experiencing all the fictional players Metalhead created, it's a riot. Continually moving the Ego up as I'm at 50 now.
