Base running

My only real complaint about base running is the A.I. (on my team) refusing to tag up at 3rd on fly balls to the outfield with less than 2 outs.

I realize I can do it manually, but I don’t understand why it doesn’t do it automatically.

Just ran into this. Lesson learned. Thought a basic baseball play, especially at the low ego I have for base running, would be taken care of. What's even more frustrating is they were like 2 steps from the base, so it looked like they tagged on the baserunning minimap.

As soon as I hit the ball in the air I press down R3 to freeze the runners and send them back to tag. Otherwise they are halfway down the baseline and you can’t get them back in time.

I play with 99 ego for baserunning. It took a while, but it's become a habit to retreat the runners as soon as I see it's a fly ball leaving the bat.

I still get doubled up on line drives far too often though.
