I'm not saying this is an example of "good commentary" or anything like that, but have you ever heard it in MLB Power Pros? It's not wacky like SlugFest and it's pretty bare-bones, but it's still rather animated.

I don't know if I'd want this or not. I do hope they can get the PA announcer to start announcing created player names, though.

Does anyone know if players can have different equipment for home and away?

Ex: white gloves for home and black when away

I've played the DEMO to death while I try and decide which system to get on.
I no longer have PC hooked to TV and frankly I just want to lay on couch and play this game so PC probably out.

I love the mobility of the SWITCH version but it looks a bit better on PS4..

Need to decide by Friday as that's when I have 5 days off and want to go deep into it.

The amount of fun just the demo brings has me excited to dig into full version.

Finally started franchise after awaiting the third patch and after 6 games heres whats going on.....
--Constant dropped balls and exclamation points on routine plays.
--Double plays on in field hits 3-4 times a game.
-- The fielder select seems to bug out often, randomly flickering or choosing players not involved in the play.
-- I had 4 separate players lose: -11 speed, -9 power , -2 contact and -9 Fielding all the first 3 games.

Not even sure what to think at this point...

Haven't seen any of those issues at all.
Switch version.
I mean I've had double plays happen but nothing suspect about them...

Is Switch the version you decided to buy? I had the same question trying to decide between Switch and PS4. Game looks so much better on PS4 but feels like it was made for the Switch. I still haven't decided.

I've had the switching fielders thing a lot. I've only played one post-patch game, but it was pretty poor before that honestly.

Is Switch the version you decided to buy? I had the same question trying to decide between Switch and PS4. Game looks so much better on PS4 but feels like it was made for the Switch. I still haven't decided.

Well, I'm not sure what that will exactly mean. SMB 1 was a timed PlayStation exclusive, and SMB 2 didn't come out for Switch until the Ultimate Edition. So it's definitely not "made for the Switch" in that way, unless your definition is that the Switch caters to those kinds of games? Or if you mean you can play it on the go? Because I had fun playing this with my Vita on Remote Play, but my best experience was always with the console itself.

If there's anything it's "made" for, it's a well-built PC, heh.

Yep.. wanted the extra ability for handheld.
The looks are a tad lower but nothing that screams not to get for SWITCH.

He means, I assume, it just feels like it's made for a system like the SWITCH... not that it a actually was.

Anywho.. plays smooth and is great fun.
If I actually played the PS4 more then maybe I would have went that route. But I'm mostly PC and SWITCH these days..
Just need a Super Mega Football game..

Finally got my franchise started and I forgot how fun a season can be in this game. Love the variety - one game I'm getting totally shut down by a team's #4 starter and the next I'm rocking another team's ace. I can't say this enough - SMB just has fun gameplay. I wish Metalhead made football and basketball games too.

I'm still waiting for the career stats update to take form before I start franchise.

I also have to completely recreate my whole team (bit-for-bit), because if I want to collect Star Points, I'll have to edit a pre-existing SMB team to make that happen. That's going to take a 6-7 hours in itself, so I figure procrastinating with that is yet another excuse for me to not yet start franchise.
