I'm afraid as I go through my franchise I'm going to learn some of my favorite players aren't that good, and never were that good.

Holy cow, that's a big list of fixes!

Minus the new career stats feature, probably my favorite addressed item is a safer stealing method for hit-and-run and full count/two out scenarios (which that one, honestly, should be automatic).

          WOW. that's alot.
There is so much in this patch, I was hoping that one of the bullet points said "play-by-play commentary added".

Such a great development studio. Can't wait to see what's next in their future.

That's not much of a "patch," though. I wouldn't ever expect that as a patch from any sports video game, ever. The only thing I could potentially see patched in this instance is adding names to the PA announcer's walkup list, but that would be asking a bit as well.

My money is on them not wanting to put in commentary, anyway. They respond well to their customer fanbase, and if we polled them I'm sure a great majority would not really ever want it in the game.

This really is one of the games where I wouldn't mind lively, animated commentary if possible, but it's gotta be great and not canned like RBI Baseball 21. But the earliest we would see it would be SMB 4.

                agreed.
But each time I play this game I always think that this game would be that much better if it had commentary similar to MLB Power Pros

Yes, I'd be fine with commentary on that level.

I'm really wondering what's limiting these games as far as layers, though. Since they seem to be increasing by powers of 2, I'd love to get to 1024 if possible. That'll kind of ensure I could create any logo I wanted. But again, I don't know what's stopping it from increasing (this is out of sheer obliviousness).
